On a recent project, a mid-sized pharmaceutical client was one year out from launching a new formulation of an existing therapy into the market which had promise to significantly improve patient experience when on therapy. They realized that the key to launch success would require a well coordinated, cross functional approach with clear governance, team structure and processes.

Our consultants got to work. They partnered with Regulatory, Market Access, Manufacturing, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Patient Support, and Commercial teams to build a launch plan in Smartsheet, enabling visibility to critical milestones and identifying the critical path. Establishing a plan early in the launch established a strong foundation and ensured teams were focused on critical tasks early.

Concuir recommended a governance structure for the launch program which included a PMO and the right mix of working teams (workstreams). and a steering committee which ensured decisions were made at the right time and key activities and milestones stayed on track. This structure eliminated silos and increased communication, empowering the launch team to collaborate cross functionally.

Knowing “how” to bring this new formulation to the market was critical to the launch success. Our team helped to facilitate the go-to-market strategy by leading launch readiness reviews and tactical planning sessions to account for potential supply constraints and community response.

The outcome was a successful launch that was well received by the patient community, allowing more patients to benefit from this therapy.
